Choice, Responsibility, and the Right of Ownership

God created human beings in His image. This is primarily expressed in our ability to choose, to think, to plan, and to initiate. Our ability to choose means we are responsible for our choices and actions. If we choose goodness, we benefit ourselves and the world; if we choose evil, we harm ourselves and the world. Since we are responsible for our actions, we have the right to benefit from them and enjoy the fruits of our labors, our talents, and everything with which God blesses us. Accordingly, what we create with our talent and labor belongs to us. Similarly, when we buy things (with money we have come by honestly), those things belong to us.
