The Seven Noahide Laws

After the flood and the lessons learned from it, God made a covenant with Noah, his children, and the animals. He promised that He would never again subvert the natural order and flood the earth. He also commanded the human survivors to be fruitful and multiply and develop the world, while observing seven commandments that reflect natural law. They are:

The prohibitions of:

1) Idol worship.

2) Murder.

3) Sexual immorality.

4) Stealing and theft.

5) Cursing the Creator.

6) Cruelty toward animals, specifically cutting off part of an animal to eat while it is still alive.

And the obligation:

7) To establish a judicial system to govern society and social interactions.

These are referred to as the Seven Noahide Laws.
